The course is designed to provide you with the practical, critical and theoretical tools required by the contemporary visual effects and post-production industries. You will develop the problem-solving and reflective abilities necessary for study and subsequent work within the industry. The programme has a focus towards film and television post-production, colour grading, multi-platform editing, and compositing combining 2d/3d animation and visual effects.
The course will be moving into a new purpose-built HE Centre in Great Yarmouth – The Place. This will be a state-of-the-art facility very close to amenities and transport links. The new premises will have access to state-of-the-art technological systems including Immersive media and Virtual Production, an area of growth in the industry.
Whist this is a full-time course, typically this course generally only requires 1-2 days on campus attendance, supported by self-directed study. This means you can continue to work alongside your studies and balance other commitments.

Requirements
You will need to have achieved 80 UCAS tariff points (or above) or an Access to HE Diploma
All applicants are required to hold GCSE English and maths at Grade C/4 or above.
Applicants who do not hold these qualifications may be considered on an individual basis based upon their overall application and the course applied for.
Progression
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress onto BA (Hons) Visual Effects and Post-production at the University of Suffolk at East Coast College
