Gaining qualifications in the workplace, supported by experienced training staff, is becoming an increasingly popular option for individuals considering their next step.

Apprenticeships are available in a broad range of sectors with employers offering a wide range of experience and skills to teach. Apprenticeships combine practical training within the workplace, with study using a training provider, such as East Coast College.

As an apprentice, you will:

  • Gain job-specific skills
  • Earn a wage whilst learning
  • Gain valuable workplace experience, whilst working towards a recognised qualification

Who can apply?

You are eligible for an apprenticeship if you are:

  • Aged 16 or over
  • Have the right to work and live in England
  • Not enrolled on another educational course (such as college or university)
  • Employed by an organisation that is willing to support you on an apprenticeship programme
