Bricklayers: The Craftmanship of Every Building Structure
Bricklayers play a vital role in both new build and refurbishment sectors, working on projects ranging from small repairs to large-scale commercial developments.
Employers vary from local building companies to large contractors. Specialisations include residential, refurbishment, and commercial work, with increasing demand for bricklayers to meet the housing needs.
Bricklayers collaborate with site teams, including senior bricklayers and other trades like carpenters and roofers. They ensure the quality and safety of their work, adhering to design specifications and building standards. Additionally, sustainability is a key focus, with attention to environmental impact, material use, and waste management. Work is typically outdoors on construction sites, in all weather conditions and at heights.
