Craft Carpenters: Using Advanced Skill and Precision to Craft Building Structures and Fixtures
Carpenters and joiners play a crucial role in both new builds and refurbishments within the construction industry, helping to create essential structures like homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. With a growing demand for modern construction methods, heritage projects, and sustainability, skilled carpenters and joiners are in high demand.
Both roles require collaboration with other construction professionals, such as bricklayers, plumbers, architects, and contractors. Employees in this field lead teams, operate tools and machinery, and can progress into leadership roles like team leader or contract manager.
This role involves working with wood-based materials to create, shape, and install complex building components, all while ensuring safety and meeting quality standards.
