This course is designed for students who wish to understand the principles of healthy eating, how to plan and achieve a healthy diet as well as how to read and understand food labelling. You will also cover specific dietary requirements and understand how these change throughout a person’s life.

In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course.

You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 2 or above.

*This course is £411.50, however, fee remission may be available subject to your personal circumstances and residency requirements (for non UK Nationals).

Please note, this course is subject to validation. 

Requirements

A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 1.

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with a final portfolio of evidence produced at the end. There are no examinations on this course.
