This course is specifically designed to develop practical patisserie and confectionery skills.

You will have the opportunity to prepare and cook a range of dishes in our industry-standard kitchens including:

  • Hot and cold desserts and puddings
  • Biscuit, cake and sponge products
  • Pastry products
  • Fermented dough products

You will work alongside our team of chefs who all currently work and support the local hospitality industry, and are responsible for the culinary delights of our popular East restaurant at the Lowestoft campus.

This course is due to start on 11th November 2024. It will run on Thursdays from 10am to 5.30pm or Saturdays from 9.30am to 4.30pm – details will be confirmed closer to the time.

This course will run at either our Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft campuses subject to demand.

Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification.

Assessment

Assessments will be by practical tasks set by the awarding body and the completion of knowledge questions.

Progression

You can progress to study our Professional Cookery Level 3 course (patisserie route).

Career opportunities include a chef (professional cookery or production), restaurant management, food and beverage service, bar and barista, conference and banqueting and school and residential home food production service.
