Supported by inspirational college tutors and industry experts, you will develop an understanding of child development, play and learning, international approaches to education, safeguarding, additional needs and so much more.

Our course will equip you with a licence to practise and our workplace assessors will support you to master the skills you will need to support children’s development and make a difference to their long-term outcomes, as this is the most crucial period for children’s brain development.

You will also use our outdoor learning environments to plan activities to take into settings to help educate and inspire young children about nature and creating a better planet. Forest and beach schools are part of our ethos in helping to create a new generation of green influencers.

In previous years, students have also benefited from educational trips to Italy and New Zealand as part of the Turing Scheme, where they experienced international approaches to childcare and explored different ateliers.

Why study with us?

  • Amazing learning environments, including simulated nursery and outdoor area.
  • Excellent partnerships and placement opportunities with schools and nurseries across Norfolk and Suffolk, creating additional learning opportunities to meet local needs.
  • Opportunities to travel the globe through the Turing Scheme with previous educational trips taking students to New Zealand and Italy.

Units you may study include:

  • Child development
  • Observation
  • Working with families
  • Behaviour
