Supported by inspirational college tutors and industry experts, you will develop an understanding of child development, play and learning, international approaches to education, safeguarding, additional needs and so much more.
This course will equip you with a licence to practise and our workplace assessors will support you to master the skills you will need to support children’s development and make a difference to their long-term outcomes, as this is the most crucial period for children’s brain development. You will also use our outdoor learning environments to plan activities to take into settings to help educate and inspire young children about nature and creating a bette planet.

Requirements
You will need to have achieved at least four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths, or completed the Level 1 course.
You do not need to have previous experience or qualifications in working with children to apply for this qualification.
Assessment
You be assessed through direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task and through team presentations.
Progression
Childcare is an excellent course if you want to go on to study a degree in subjects such as midwifery, paediatric nursing or early childhood.
You can progress on to Technical Childcare and Education Level 3.
