This course is designed for students looking to develop their creative writing skills. Students will cover the differences between fiction and non-fiction, use personal experience and stimuli as a source for creative writing and be able to write for meaning.
Classes will also cover how to produce a draft and proofreading as well as writing for a variety of audiences.
In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course.

Requirements
A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake a diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process, and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 1.
Assessment
Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with a final portfolio of evidence produced at the end. There are no examinations on this course.
Progression
You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 1 or above.
