This exciting and dynamic course intends to provide a solid knowledge-base to foster and enhance enthusiasm for Forensic Science and to develop transferable scientific skills. Through the practical application of knowledge, you will acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes required by employers in forensic laboratories and scientific support services.
You will study a range of modules – some designed to develop your wider scientific and laboratory knowledge and skills – and some to develop the specific skills and attributes needed to work in forensic science.
The course is for those wishing to build their skills, knowledge and understanding further to progress into the laboratory science sector.
Whist this is a full-time course, typically this course generally only requires 1-2 days on campus attendance, supported by self-directed study. This means you can continue to work alongside your studies and balance other commitments.

Requirements
You will need to have achieved 80 UCAS tariff points (or above) and an Access to HE Diploma
GCSE English, Maths and Science1 at grade C/4 or above.
1unless the Level 3 offer is in a direct science subject
Applicants who do not hold these qualifications may be considered on an individual basis based upon their overall application and the course applied for.
Progression
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress onto BSc (Hons) Forensic Science* at the University of Suffolk at East Coast College.
