This course is designed for students looking to develop their practical floristry skills and techniques.  

Students will learn design features for floral arrangements, develop an understanding of equipment needed and preservation techniques used in floristry. 

In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course.

Requirements

A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 2. 

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with a final portfolio of evidence produced at the end. There are no examinations on this course. 

Progression

You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 2 or above.
