Our Introduction to Hospitality course is a front of house qualification where you will be working in our popular East restaurant.

You will develop an amazing set of work skills including:

  • Customer service
  • Teamwork
  • Planning and organising your time and workload
  • Problem solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding and respecting cultural differences
  • Looking after yourself
  • Sustainability in catering
  • How to prepare the restaurant for service
  • How to meet, greet and serve customers

There will also be an opportunity to start developing your cookery skills ready for your next steps, and we will connect you with local employers for work experience.

Requirements

This course is suitable for students have achieved at least three subjects at GCSE grades 1 to 3 or above including English.

Assessment

Your practical skills will be judged by observation while working in our popular East restaurant. Class-based lessons are designed to give you the knowledge to work successfully in the industry.

Progression

You could progress to study our Food and Beverage Service or Kitchen Services courses.
