The aim of this qualification is for adult learners to explore how to plan and achieve their employment goals, methods of preparing for interview and understanding income and expenditure.  

This course will encourage students who may be anxious when applying for their first job or when returning to work after a period of absence.

In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course. 

 

Requirements

A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 1.  

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with contributions made towards a portfolio. There will not be any examinations during this course. 

Progression

You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 1 or above.
