Our Kitchen Services course is a kitchen-based qualification where you will be preparing food for our popular East restaurant or pop-up bistro.
You will start to develop an amazing set of professional cookery skills including:
- Preparing classic dishes with modern twists including vegan dishes, fruit and vegetable based street food, using meats and poultry, breads and sandwiches from around the world and hot and cold sweet treats.

- Traceability and health
There will also be the opportunity to start to develop your skills for upscaling for functions and events and we will connect you with local employers for work experience.
Requirements
This course is suitable for students who have achieved at least three subjects at GCSE at grade 3 or above including English and maths.
Assessment
Your practical skills will be assessed by observation while working in our popular kitchens. Class-based lessons are designed to give you the knowledge to work successfully in the industry and are tested by short answer questions.
Progression
You can progress to study Professional Cookery. You could also move into an apprenticeship or employment.
