The aim of this qualification is to enable learners to develop knowledge and skills working in their local communities.
This course will explore how to be an active citizen within your local community with a focus on getting involved in local groups and leading on a project for your community.
In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course.
You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 1 or above.
Requirements
A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at level 1.
Assessment
Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with contributions made towards a portfolio. There will not be any examinations during this course.
