The aim of this qualification is to enable learners to understand the sources of and need to balance income and expenditure as well as how to reduce expenditure. This course will also cover understanding the products provided by banks and building societies and the advantages and disadvantages of borrowing money.  

In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course.

Requirements

A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 1

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with a final multiple choice test at the end of the course. 

Progression

You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 1 or above.
