The aim of this qualification is to enable learners to further develop their Parenting Skills. This course will offer support to parents (with children of any age) and enable them to identify the main responsibilities of parenthood as well as identify the rights and needs of parents, children and other members of the family. 

In addition to the formal lessons, individual tutorials and careers advice sessions are held with you throughout the course. 

Requirements

A sufficient understanding of maths and English Language is needed to cope with the demands of the course. All students will undertake diagnostic assessment to assess these skills during the course interview or induction process and you will be required to demonstrate that you can work at Level 1.  

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place throughout the course with contributions made towards a portfolio. There will not be any examinations during this course. 

Progression

You can progress on to a range of other qualifications at Level 1 or above.
