This week is National Apprenticeship Week when employers and apprentices from across England celebrate the success of a growing number of apprentices whilst encouraging even more individuals and employers to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career and developing businesses.
Hoseasons have championed apprenticeship programmes as a ‘’gold-standard’’ gate way to employment for a number of years working in partnership with East Coast College as a pipeline for young talent.
In partnership with the college, Hoseasons has offered over 30 apprenticeships opportunities in everything from Level 2 Customer Service and Sales to Level 3 Software, Web Development and Digital Design.
Matt Smith Head of HR for Hoseasons says ‘’we see the Hoseasons business as an advocate to other employers as to the benefits of a well-established apprenticeship programme. We were one of the first organisations in Suffolk to sign up to the New Anglia Youth Pledge which recognises our commitment to offering a gate-way to employment through the apprenticeship route. We have worked with East Coast College for a number of years to offer quality apprenticeship programmes both within our Contact Centres (to ensure we are training exceptional customer service) and importantly within our Digital Teams to find the best digital talent locally to help support our digital ambitions’’.
In the last 2 and a half years the business has recruited over 30 apprentices with East Coast College supporting the training of the majority of this number.
East Coast College Principal, Stuart Rimmer said “East Coast College is a leading provider of apprenticeships, across the region. Building long-lasting relations with key sector employers such as Hoseasons is key to helping individuals and businesses fulfil their potential. We pride ourselves on our engagement with businesses, the New Anglia LEP and research analysists constantly developing our curriculum, apprenticeship and commercial offer in order to meet labour market needs now and in the future and therefore serve and strengthen the local economy”.
East Coast College will be celebrating the success of over 60 of its apprentices (including those from Hoseasons) at its annual Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 15th March. A much anticipated event hosted by the college to
acknowledge the support of employers and recognise the achievements of its apprentices.
Employers and individuals interested in exploring an apprenticeship should contact the East Coast College apprenticeship helpline 0800 085 8860.
