Former East Coast College student, Joshua Bryenton, has progressed through the SkillBuild UK’s national final and has now competed in the eliminations round for his chance to represent the UK at the world finals in Russia.
Joshua, a former Lynn Grove Academy student, began his studies in bricklaying at East Coast College before beginning an apprenticeship in bricklaying.
East Coast College principal, Stuart Rimmer, said that Josh has the support of the whole college behind him and he hopes that Joshua enjoys this once in a lifetime accomplishment.
East Coast College tutor, Phil Carter, said that Joshua is “one learner in a million and his attitude and ability in theory and practical tasks are fantastic”.
Not only has Joshua excelled in his career by winning bronze at the national finals but he also won apprentice of the year during his time at East Coast College.
