East Coast College rated ‘Good’ across all areas in latest Ofsted inspection
Our glowing Ofsted report, published on 10th February 2025, highlighted the college’s exceptional leadership, high-quality teaching and commitment to student success. Ofsted praised East Coast College for its inclusive and supportive learning environment, well-designed curriculum, and experienced teaching staff.
The report highlighted substantial improvements in the college’s apprenticeship provision with apprentices gaining valuable industry-relevant knowledge and benefitting from access to cutting-edge facilities and equipment, allowing them to enhance their skills and apply them effectively in the workplace. Students with high needs were also recognised for developing key life skills that support their transition to adulthood, becoming valued members of their workplace teams, with most supported interns successfully moving into employment.
The college’s contributions to adult learning were also recognised, particularly through its English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Welding Bootcamp courses. The report highlighted how our Adult students studying English for speakers of other languages courses now feel confident to speak with their child’s teacher, the doctor and their manager at work.
